Since December 2012 Thomas has been working at the "Agrar- und Lebensmittelmarketing Fachbereich" with the University of Kassel.

Focus of research

Evaluation, controlling, and monitoring, education for sustainable development, methods of empirical social research.

Thomas Krikser’s role in CIVILand

Thomas Krikser was one of CIVILand junior research group’s PhD students.

Biography

Thomas Krikser studied political science, sociology and media studies at the Universities of Marburg and Berlin from 1999 to 2005. The interfaces between political theory, theories of action and psychological factors formed the focus of his studies. As a lecturer in political science Thomas taught and researched current issues and controversies of educational sociology and empirical educational research. From 2006 to February 2009 Thomas Krikser was involved in the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development. From October 2007 to February 2009, he acted as scientific adviser for the report by the German federal government on education for sustainable development. From April 2008 to May 2009 Thomas Krikser worked as a research associate in the trans-national project "Indicators for education for sustainable development - a transdisciplinary study of the transfer of indicators."
